Double “R” is something extraordinary, he is 19 and has been rapping for 10 years and counting, ROCSTAR doesn’t stand out either in the new era or in the old one. Like he says to everyone, “I’m the first of a new era but I’m not quite sure what to call it yet.”

His name is Anthony Nelson but he goes by the stage name of ROCSTAR ROGER. He gave himself this name because he believes a person’s nickname can tell a lot about who the person is. He got ROCSTAR from the positive but enjoyable lifestyle a lot of famous rock stars lived, Fun, Money, Hard Work, and being able to feed their loved ones. ROGER is an acrostic, Example: R.O.G.E.R. and it stands for Righteousness. Original. Greatness. Excellence. Realist.

He performed at the famous APOLLO THEATER and placed in 2nd place. ROCSTAR also performed at CARNEGIE HALL where he rocked the stage. He graduated from CELIA CRUZ BRONX H.S. OF MUSIC and now attends SAE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. As you can tell from those selections that his music has been a big part of his life and his only true wish is to just be able to live his life doing something that he loves more than anything in this world, MUSIC.
